The Role:

Influence is looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and proactive Account Manager to support the business with global clients across Formula 1 and motorsport. You will be working across partnership activations, hospitality and PR & communications. The role has a great balance of working solo and within a supportive team, and given the breadth of the position would allow the candidate to understand all aspects of sports marketing and activation partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage our premium Formula 1 accounts – serving as our clients’ day-to-day contact, sharing regular updates (meeting notes, agendas, etc.) and ensuring the agency anticipates and meets their every need
  • Lead key projects from inception to conclusion, delivering on time, whilst managing multiple tasks and supporting junior team members
  • Coordinate experiential hospitality and on-event guest programmes within a client-facing role – managing all elements, including timelines, logistics, photography, schedules and reports
  • Work closely with clients, becoming an extension of their in-house team, as well as working collaboratively with key stakeholders and suppliers in the motorsport ecosystems to create seamless activations
  • Coordinate PR activity for key clients, from the communications strategy to pitching in story ideas and creating high-quality written content, such as briefing documents, invitations, press materials and pitch presentations
  • Support with finance and budgeting, including managing suppliers and expenses
  • Identify new business opportunities for the agency within the sporting landscape
  • Represent the agency and clients professionally at events around the world including Formula 1 races
  • Support Account Directors to deliver above and beyond for the clients.
Requirements:
  • Passionate about sport – particularly Formula 1 and motorsport
  • Experience working at Formula 1 and/or at a leading global sporting series
  • Ability to proactively and calmly handle challenges, resolving unforeseen challenges quickly
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • Strong organisation skills and able to meet deadlines
  • Conscientious and proactive with a good understanding of the sporting landscape
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Willingness to travel, with flexibility in working hours to accommodate varying schedules and client needs
  • Valid driving license and passport
  • Strong written and verbal English skills; additional languages are beneficial
