Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced SME – Accountant to manage end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) operations. The role involves journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, lease accounting, accruals, deferrals, financial reporting, and audit support while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

R2R Process Management & Journal Entries

  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
  • Post journal entries, accruals, deferrals, provisions, and reclassifications.
  • Process intercompany accounting transactions and adjustments.
  • Maintain General Ledger (GL) accuracy and integrity.
  • Handle emergency accounting adjustments and reporting requests.

Reconciliations & Fixed Assets Accounting

  • Perform monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Analyze and resolve open reconciliation items.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation runs, and asset roll-forward schedules.

Expense Processing & Adjustments

  • Process credit card expenses and prepare related journal entries.
  • Post bank, prepaid, recurring, and payroll journal entries.
  • Investigate and resolve Profit & Loss account variances and adjustment requirements.

Reporting, Compliance & Audit Support

  • Prepare audit schedules, roll-forward reports, and variance analysis.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and internal control frameworks.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Handle ad-hoc financial reporting requests.
  • Generate weekly client-wise sales reports.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives and GL-related queries.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Education & Qualification

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification in Accounting/Finance.

Experience

  • 7–15 years of experience in R2R, General Ledger Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Month-End Closing.
  • Strong experience in journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and variance analysis.

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Flexi, or similar platforms.
  • Expertise in R2R processes and financial statement preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of Fixed Assets Accounting, Lease Accounting, Accruals, and Deferrals.
