As an Accounting Manager, GL Operations & Intercompany, you'll join the Controllership team to support Global GL Operations end-to-end month-end close processes and directly oversee Coinbase's global intercompany framework and general ledger functions. The GL Operations team ensures the integrity of our global consolidation, the accuracy of our general ledger, and the scalability of our financial infrastructure. You'll drive operational excellence across close, consolidation, and intercompany workstreams while supporting Coinbase's continued international growth.

What you'll do:

  • Own end-to-end month-end and quarter-end close processes across global entities, ensuring timely, accurate general ledger reporting and consolidated financial statements.
  • Lead global intercompany operations including billing, cash settlements, transfer pricing execution, foreign exchange gain/loss analysis, and elimination entries.
  • Partner with Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Finance Data to operationalize new intercompany agreements, entity launches, and transfer pricing methodologies into scalable processes.
  • Drive the design, implementation, and documentation of SOX-compliant internal controls across GL operations and intercompany processes.
  • Execute strategic GL projects including M&A integration, new entity set-ups, and ERP enhancements in NetSuite.
  • Strengthen team capability by mentoring and developing direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • CPA with 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance, including 2+ years managing direct reports, with public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with applied knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX 404 implementation and documentation.
  • Managed end-to-end month-end close processes across multiple entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidated reporting.
  • Led multi-entity intercompany accounting processes such as eliminations, FX revaluation, or global consolidations.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with analytics tools (Snowflake, Looker, or similar) and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), ideally in a fintech or crypto environment.
  • Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency and quality.

$166,345$195,700 USD
