Accounts Assistant – Tally Required – Commerce Graduates Only

Job Summary

HR Service Jobs is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant with a strong command of Tally ERP and a background in commerce. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, assist in financial documentation, and ensure accuracy in bookkeeping. This role is perfect for recent commerce graduates who are looking to launch their career in the field of accounting and finance with hands-on learning and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain day-to-day financial records and entries in Tally ERP.

  • Assist with preparation of invoices, billing, and payment tracking.

  • Reconcile bank statements and handle cashbook maintenance.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

  • Prepare GST filings and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.

  • Organize and manage financial documentation for audits.

  • Handle petty cash management and vendor payments.

  • Collaborate with the senior accountant and finance team on budgeting and reporting tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com or related field) – mandatory.

  • Proficiency in Tally ERP (Tally Prime preferred).

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Experience

  • 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.

  • Freshers with strong Tally knowledge and internships in accounting are welcome to apply.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Saturday

  • 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
    (Occasional extended hours during month-end or audit season may be required.)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Solid grasp of general ledger functions and accounting cycle.

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Familiarity with GST, TDS, and basic tax compliance (added advantage).
