Accounts Payable Manager

KETTLER has opening at our corporate office in Mclean, VA for an Accounts Payable Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join a locally owned and managed company with substantial potential for career growth. This role requires on-site attendance, Monday - Thursday, with Friday being a remote work day.<br><br><strong>Compensation: </strong>$85k - $90k plus 15% annual bonus target<br><br><strong>We offer a robust Benefits Package including, but not limited to:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Paid Time Off.</li><li>Health, Dental, Vision insurance; Life Insurance; Prescription coverage.</li><li>Tax-Advantaged Spending Accounts (HSA or FSA).</li><li>401(k) retirement plan with company match.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Managing the AP department which handles all check disbursements, 1099 and tax related matters for multiple accounting systems.</li><li>Developing, implementing and maintaining systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines. </li><li>Provides accounting assistance to the operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs. </li><li>Selects and hires employees for the groups mentioned above.</li><li>Motivates, trains, and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field preferred.</li><li>A minimum of seven (7) years of accounting experience with at least four (4) years in a supervisory capacity.</li><li>Must have Experience with Yardi, or other large ERP AP system, as well as 1099 and unclaimed property tax filing experience.</li><li>Property Management/Real Estate background preferred.</li><li>Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, clients, and upper management.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem solving skills.</li><li>Good presentation skills for educating internal clients.</li><li>Good planning and organizational skills.<br><br></li></ul><strong>About KETTLER<br><br></strong>Intentional, thoughtful, and boutique designed; are the words used to describe KETTLER’s strategy for real estate development since its inception in 1977.
