Job Summary Owns the strategy and delivery of AI and automation that supports the craft professional lifecycle: sourcing, onboarding, deployment, productivity, performance, and retention. Partners with Construction, Workforce Services, Digital Delivery, and IT to improve productivity, data quality, safety, and the field workforce experience.

Drives smarter demand planning and real-time decision support by modernizing craft professional workforce systems aligned to enterprise craft professional and EPC transformation priorities.

Major Responsibilities AI & automation strategy

  • Create and deliver the AI/automation roadmap for craft professional workforce systems.
  • Identify and prioritize use cases that cut manual work and improve decisions across the craft professional lifecycle.
  • Partner with Construction productivity, Automation & Robotics, to improve craft professional processes and rework.
Process improvement & digital enablement
  • Automate end-to-end craft professional workflows, including:
  • Digital onboarding and mobilization
  • Credentials, certifications, and classifications
  • Electronic timekeeping and workforce tracking
  • Performance management
  • Progression, compliance, and audit readiness
  • Streamline legacy processes to be data-driven, AI-ready, and lower-touch.
AI use cases & analytics
  • Deliver AI solutions such as:
  • Demand/availability forecasting and craft professional workforce risk signals
  • Skill-to-project matching
  • Data quality monitoring and anomaly detection
  • Self-service and conversational AI for craft professionals
  • Turn craft professional, project controls, safety, and training data into clear, actionable insights.
Systems integration & governance
  • Integrate craft professional platforms with project management, payroll, safety, and training systems to eliminate duplicate entry.
  • Define guardrails for responsible AI, data protection, and audit compliance.
  • Partner with IT, Digital Delivery, and the AI CoE to deliver secure, scalable solutions aligned to enterprise architecture.
Stakeholder leadership & change
  • Translate field needs into scalable AI/automation solutions.
  • Drive change management, adoption, and training for field and project teams.
  • Champion practical, field-ready automation with measurable results.
Education And Experience Requirements
  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
  • Construction Management, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years in construction, workforce systems, digital delivery, or process improvement.
  • Experience delivering automation, AI, or analytics with workforce data (e.g., Employee Central, SAP, Power BI).
  • Strong understanding of field construction operations and the craft professional workforce lifecycle.
Required Knowledge And Skills
  • Experience in EPC, large-scale construction, or industrial project environments.
  • Hands-on with AI platforms, low-code/no-code tools, or workforce analytics.
  • Working knowledge of responsible AI, data governance, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional work and influence without direct authority.
