Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Airport Gateway Ramp Handler (Airport Cargo) to support critical ground handling and cargo operations at airport facilities. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely movement of air cargo by performing ramp, loading, unloading, and equipment-handling activities. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence in a fast-paced airport environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload air cargo, baggage, and freight from aircraft, dollies, and transport vehicles in accordance with operational procedures.

  • Operate ground support equipment (GSE) such as forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, belt loaders, and tugs, following safety guidelines.

  • Secure cargo using nets, straps, and locks to ensure safe aircraft transport.

  • Perform aircraft marshaling and chocking as required.

  • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment and report any defects or hazards.

  • Adhere strictly to airport safety regulations, security protocols, and company policies.

  • Coordinate with cargo agents, supervisors, and flight crews to ensure on-time departures and arrivals.

  • Maintain accurate documentation related to cargo handling and operational activities.

  • Support housekeeping and ramp cleanliness to maintain a safe working environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
