Compensation Range: $65,200.00 - $81,300.00 USD

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.

Job Purpose
The Americas Reporting and Controls Accountant is responsible for supporting regional accounting activities and contributing to the monthly, quarterly, and yearend close processes for the Americas Region, including consolidation and reporting requirements. This role works closely with the corporate team, the Americas accounting and finance group, and global counterparts to ensure ERP systems accurately reflect the Company's financial activities and performance. The position also prepares and reviews reporting schedules and supports ad hoc accounting projects that require strong consolidation and technical accounting skills.
To be successful in this role, the Americas Reporting and Controls Accountant must take ownership of assigned processes and reports, demonstrate a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and contribute to strengthening governance, risk, and control environments. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, processoriented, able to work independently, embrace new challenges, communicate effectively, and perform well under pressure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Accurately prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations within BaaN, SAP, and HFM.
  • Oversee ASC 842 lease processes..
  • Ensure ERP systems accurately reflect regional activities and performance.
  • Communicate, escalate, and coordinate with plant accountants, segment leads, department heads, and thirdparty providers to obtain or transmit information needed for analysis, forecasting, journal entries, and reconciliations..
  • Prepare analyses for highpriority accounts, quarterend and yearend packages, and audit requests.
  • Monitor compliance with GAAP and company procedures.
  • Identify control weaknesses and recommend process improvements to ensure effective financial controls are maintained.
  • Create detailed process documentation and update work instructions, ensuring accounting implications are clearly understood.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment when handling critical and confidential matters..
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Minimal travel required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive finance or accounting experience in a manufacturing or publicly traded company, preferably in a multientity environment.
  • Experience in external audit with a Big Four or midtier accounting firm is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with employees and management inside and outside the finance department.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems involving a variety of variables.
  • Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
  • Motivated selfstarter and team player.
  • Ability to make recommendations on process improvements.
  • Highly organized and accurate, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills, including intermediate or advanced Excel proficiency.
