What you will be doing: Work with a team of highly skilled and motivated professionals on enhancing North America Money Movement products supporting ACH and Instant Payments. Develop and execute performance, scalability, and high-availability tests, with a focus on reliability under load and failure conditions. Implement and continuously improve performance monitoring and observability to understand and optimize runtime characteristics. Build and maintain CI pipelines and automated test suites (unit, integration, and UI automation where applicable) using tooling such as Jenkins. Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of highly skilled and motivated professionals on enhancing North America Money Movement products supporting ACH and Instant Payments.
  • Develop and execute performance, scalability, and high-availability tests, with a focus on reliability under load and failure conditions.
  • Implement and continuously improve performance monitoring and observability to understand and optimize runtime characteristics.
  • Build and maintain CI pipelines and automated test suites (unit, integration, and UI automation where applicable) using tooling such as Jenkins.
  • Troubleshoot and tune application and platform performance across application servers, databases, and containerized environments.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of applications development and performance engineering experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java (JDK 1.8/17) and enterprise Java stack: JEE, Maven, Hibernate, EJB 3.1, plus integration technologies such as MQ.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL, and service/interface technologies such as REST, XML, XSD, JSON.
  • Proven expertise in monitoring and optimizing performance characteristics in complex systems.
  • Expertise in writing tests with a focus on performance and high availability.
  • Experience with continuous integration and automated testing practices (e.g., Jenkins, unit tests, integration tests, Selenium-based tests).
  • Very good knowledge of application servers such as WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, and OpenLiberty.
  • Very good knowledge of Oracle or PostgreSQL, including performance tuning.
  • Working knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes and Linux environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and time-management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Kafka.
  • Payments expertise (e.g., SEPA, SWIFT MT) as an asset.
  • Additional depth with REST API design and/or PostgreSQL.
