Anthropologie Copy Manager

About the position

Anthropologie is seeking a Copy Manager to oversee and lead highly engaging copy with an editorial point of view. This role is a critical steward of the Anthropologie voice, overseeing teams, workflows, and philosophies of our brand voice and tone. The Manager/Senior Manager of Copy will be the top-most top editor of work and cross-functional point of contact for all copy. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer and leader of people, teams and projects, adept at brand thinking, creative storytelling, and leading with excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Act as key member of the Brand Narrative and Voice management team, crafting a fresh and updated voice for Anthropologie group brands with a focus on fashion (Anthropologie, Anthropologie Home, Anthropologie Weddings)
  • Create copy and content toolkits and libraries to scale brand personality, voice and tone, and for the enterprise to adopt across all channels (catalog, store, site, social, email, etc.)
  • Collaborate as a key partner across creative, merchandising, marketing, brand strategy and content strategy to finalize and refine messaging
  • Support leadership in Brand Voice and Marketing and Social teams, leveraging high EQ to recommend opportunities for continual optimization and synergy
  • Champion collaborative and hybrid work across copy, editorial, and brand and content strategy teams
  • Stay hyper tuned in to all industries across our brands: fashion, home, lifestyle, interior design, culture, and pop culture to ensure storytelling is fresh, modern, and relevant
  • Comfort level leveraging AI tools to streamline work and create efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 6-8/8-10+ years of experience in copywriting, content creation, or marketing (preferably within retail, lifestyle brands or agency settings).
  • Strong editorial skills with the ability to craft persuasive and engaging messaging.
  • Excellent attention to detail, grammar, and style consistency.
  • Experience writing for print, in-store, emails, social, digital, campaign, out-of home
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Google Office and project management platforms.
