Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals for the role of Assembly & Packaging Operative for placement at top-tier FMCG production facilities, including Müller and Unilever. Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, pack, and label food and beverage products following established guidelines and safety protocols.

  • Operate machinery and automated production lines efficiently and safely.

  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet strict packaging and quality standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in compliance with food safety regulations.

  • Handle raw and finished materials carefully to prevent contamination or damage.

  • Accurately follow job orders, batch coding, and product specifications.

  • Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.

  • Assist in inventory control and reporting when required.

  • Identify equipment faults and report maintenance needs.

  • Follow health and safety rules, wearing appropriate PPE at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

  • Basic English communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).

  • Physically fit and capable of standing for extended hours and lifting packages up to 20 kg.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-moving production environment.

  • Understanding of hygiene, food handling, and safety procedures.

  • Team player with a flexible and positive attitude.

Experience

  • Preferred: 6 months to 2 years of experience in packaging, production, or assembly line work.

  • Freshers are also welcome to apply; full training will be provided on-site.

Working Hours

  • Rotational Shifts: Morning, Afternoon, and Night Shifts

  • 5–6 days per week (including weekends depending on the production schedule)

  • Overtime opportunities available, paid at premium rates

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment (cold or ambient depending on product type).

  • Knowledge of basic health and safety practices in a manufacturing setup.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles is a plus.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to meet daily targets consistently.
