Your Team's Impact The DSO Platform Product Management team is seeking an Associate Product Manager to support and accelerate our API/MCP program. In this role, you will collaborate with API/MCP Product Managers to help design, build, and deploy new endpoints, tools, and APIs—including projects involving unstructured data. You will work closely with both the API and AI teams, assisting across multiple initiatives. As an Associate Product Manager, you will gain a deep understanding of your products and promote them internally and externally. Working with other Product Managers, you’ll contribute to strategic and operational plans, help steer the roadmap, and improve the direction of the team and product line. Your focus will be optimizing end-user experience by identifying key pain points, communicating top issues to stakeholders, and providing data-driven recommendations for product improvement. You will also play a critical role in developing and iterating on our testing and evaluation frameworks to achieve higher product accuracy—important for our product’s long-term success. In addition, you will support escalations from the support desk, manage timely resolutions, and ensure proper escalation to engineering. You may assist more experienced team members in measuring and improving the user experience by recommending solutions to recurring support issues. Throughout all stages—discovery, solutioning, launch, and monitoring—you will be a crucial contributor to the Product Management team.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Content API and AI product teams to identify proper API and Endpoint/tool design.
  • Learn and develop skills to help build out API specs to OpenAPI and FactSet Standards.
  • Partner with PMs & Engineering to build and maintain a comprehensive testing and evaluation framework to make sure we meet accuracy requirements
  • Review existing API catalogue to identify opportunities where we can make our catalogue more AI-Ready. This could include areas of focus such as increasing metadata comprehensiveness and data auditing capabilities.
  • Help manage our unstructured and vectorized data products
  • Contribute to the development of our MCP Server and building out supporting functionality.
  • Join and contribute to agile rituals for our API agile teams.
  • Attend regular update calls to stay informed and make sure we’re staying on track with our prioritization and roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years of related industry experience
  • Previous experience and knowledge of APIs and/or Python, Postman, etc.
  • Deep understanding of our client’s workflows and solution requirements
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain cross-departmental collaborative relationships
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to run effective meetings internally and with clients
  • Knowledge of off-platform products/business and/or content
  • Strong ability to self-motivate
  • Experience in Product Development best practices, including Agile development, SDLC, User Stories and Acceptance criteria, and product release best practices
  • Strong track record of meeting desired deadlines and product milestones

Nice-to-haves

  • Stakeholder communication experience.
  • JIRA and collaboration tool proficiency (Confluence, SharePoint, etc.).
  • OpenAPI or technical specification writing experience.
  • Familiarity with FactSet’s content catalogue or industry content.
  • Experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) and prompt engineering
