Description
Seeking a Atlassian SME to design, configure, and administer an enterprise Atlassian solution to meet organizational requirements in support of a government division with a mission to equip law enforcement, national security, and intelligence community partners with criminal justice information. The Atlassian SME will provide subject matter expert level technical knowledge, analysis, and deliver tiered support for Atlassian tools, user permissions, security configurations, and ensure the tools are aligned with organizational requirements and workflows.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Serve as subject matter expert with extensive enterprise experience with the Atlassian Tools Suite (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) across a large enterprise to include troubleshooting, configuration, and administration experience.
  • Provide subject matter expert level technical knowledge, analysis, and provide tiered support for Atlassian tools, managing user permissions, security configurations, and ensuring the tools are aligned with organizational requirements.
  • Participate, as needed, in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.
  • Work collaboratively, across teams, to drive key initiatives.
  • Adapt to organizational policies and priorities.
  • Follow SAFe Agile principles and practices, including iterative development, continuous delivery, and collaboration.


Requirements

  • 7 years of hands-on experience with the Atlassian tool suite (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) at the enterprise level, including configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • 5 years of experience in managing, configuring, and customizing Atlassian products for large organizations, ensuring scalability, performance optimization, and adherence to enterprise best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in integrating Atlassian tools with other enterprise systems (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, version control systems) and automating processes using tools such as Jira Automation, scripts, and REST
  • 2 years of experience in leading a team of administrators and providing tiered support for Atlassian tools, managing user permissions, security configurations, and ensuring the tools are aligned with organizational requirements and
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical field,
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Secret clearance is required.
