Responsibilities Job Summary

This position serves as an essential member of the Technology & Data Analytics team to support Foundation Development Divisions / Gift Officers. This AVP strategically utilizes ethically gathered prospect and donor information necessary to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward engaged relationships in support of HonorHealth.

Primary responsibilities include conducting ongoing data analysis, strategy development, matrix stage prospect management, individual prospect research and profile development, and supervising prospect research vendor(s) / researcher(s). This AVP of Portfolio Moves and Prospect Research reports to the VP of Portfolio and Pipeline Analytics, while also collaborating closely with Database Analysts to generate, oversee, and monitor reporting of portfolio key performance indicators (KPIs).

Essential Functions

Prospect & Portfolio Management: Oversee all aspects of the prospect management system. Provide direct preparation and support of monthly portfolio review meetings with all Gift Officers / teams, ensuring that actions, strategies, and revenue projections are being accurately uploaded to the database. Manage the assignment of prospects, referrals, and donors in collaboration with Foundation and Development Leadership so that fundraising activity is coordinated, and prospects are moved successfully through the solicitation cycle.

Establish prospect pipeline guidelines and workflows that ensure a steady flow of new prospects, while maintaining accountability to the Moves Matrix stages and associated timing / expectations. Customize pipeline strategies for high capacity and affinity donors / prospects to better identify and strategize next steps. Working in close collaboration with all leaders, while partnering to carry out comprehensive procedures to ensure quality and consistency across all activities related to prospect management.

Prospect Identification & Research: Implement a comprehensive program of quality prospect research to support cultivation and solicitation activity by Foundation Gift Officers and Volunteers, as appropriate. Proactively manage alerts and other proactive research tools to keep fundraisers current on donors / prospects. Assess current prospecting and research procedures, making recommendations to improve existing processes.

Ensure that current research activities are aligned with organizational fundraising priorities and revenue goals. Create structures to better visualize network connections and relationships that allow identification of strong, potential donors / prospects with the help of volunteer or stakeholder engagement. Guide and inform database screening and analysis in close collaboration with Technology and Data Analytics Leadership.

Incorporate new data elements into current research systems to uncover new donors and update information on current prospects.

Prospect Strategy Tracking: Provide analysis of pipeline activity and movement to drive strategic planning, including donor journey assessments.
