BI Analyst - Power BI & Snowflake Dashboard Design

Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven BI Analyst – Power BI & Snowflake Dashboard Design to join our growing data and analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming complex datasets into meaningful, visually compelling dashboards that drive strategic decision-making. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and senior leadership to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level BI solutions using Power BI and Snowflake.

This position is ideal for a data professional who combines strong technical expertise with business acumen and a passion for data storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI

  • Build and optimize data models sourced from Snowflake and other enterprise data platforms

  • Translate business requirements into effective BI solutions and visual analytics

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting standards

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across dashboards

  • Implement best practices for Power BI performance optimization and security (RLS, governance)

  • Conduct data validation, testing, and troubleshooting of BI solutions

  • Document BI solutions, data definitions, and reporting logic

  • Provide training and support to business users on dashboards and insights

  • Continuously improve reporting frameworks based on evolving business needs

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling)

  • Solid expertise in Snowflake including querying, performance tuning, and data structures

  • Proficiency in SQL for complex data analysis and transformations

  • Experience designing executive-level dashboards with strong UX/UI principles

  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and BI architectures

  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data quality and accuracy

Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field

  • 3–6 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or similar roles

  • Proven experience delivering Power BI dashboards in enterprise or consulting environments

  • Experience working with cloud data platforms, preferably Snowflake

Working Hours

  • Full-time position

  • Standard business hours (Monday to Friday)

  • Flexible or hybrid working arrangements may be available depending on project requirements
