Billing Specialist

<p>Orgenesis is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Billing Specialist to support billing operations, revenue cycle management, and financial compliance across our biotechnology, healthcare services, and cell and gene therapy programs. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for preparing and processing invoices, managing accounts receivable activities, resolving billing discrepancies, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable healthcare billing regulations.</p><p>The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, healthcare or life sciences billing experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with finance, operations, research, and clinical teams.</p><h2>Essential Responsibilities</h2><h3>Billing & Invoicing</h3><ul><li>Prepare, review, and process customer invoices accurately and timely.</li><li>Generate invoices for clinical services, laboratory services, contract research activities, manufacturing services, and other company offerings.</li><li>Verify billing information against contracts, purchase orders, service agreements, and approved pricing schedules.</li><li>Monitor billing cycles and ensure invoices are submitted according to contractual requirements.</li><li>Maintain billing records and supporting documentation.</li></ul><h3>Accounts Receivable Management</h3><ul><li>Track outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.</li><li>Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies.</li><li>Process credit memos, adjustments, and account corrections when necessary.</li><li>Coordinate collection activities while maintaining positive client relationships.</li><li>Support monthly accounts receivable reporting.</li></ul><h3>Financial Compliance & Documentation</h3><ul><li>Ensure billing activities comply with applicable accounting standards and healthcare regulations.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality of financial and patient-related information.</li><li>Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation.</li><li>Support adherence to company financial controls and policies.</li></ul><h3>Reporting & Analysis</h3><ul><li>Prepare billing, collections, and revenue reports.</li><li>Analyze billing trends and identify process improvement opportunities.</li><li>Assist management with revenue forecasting and reconciliation assigned.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><h3>Required</h3><ul><li>Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.</li><li>2–5 years of billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle experience.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.</li><li>Strong understanding of invoicing procedures and financial recordkeeping.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet
