Business Systems Analyst (100% Remote)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Systems Analyst II (SQL & Data Validation) in Birmingham, AL.

Overview:
Our client is seeking a Business/Data Analyst to support a critical data migration initiative as they transition their enterprise data lake environment to Snowflake. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented analyst with strong SQL skills and experience performing data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities during large-scale data transformation projects.

The selected consultant will work closely with the project team to compare source and target data structures, validate data accuracy, and ensure successful migration outcomes.

Responsibilities:
* Perform data validation and reconciliation activities during a data migration to Snowflake
* Compare existing data structures and datasets against newly created Snowflake tables
* Execute SQL queries to analyze, compare, and validate source-to-target data
* Identify, investigate, and document data discrepancies and anomalies
* Validate data quality, completeness, and accuracy throughout the migration process
* Partner with project stakeholders to resolve data issues and ensure successful delivery
* Document findings, validation results, and recommendations
* Participate in Agile team ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional project teams

REQUIREMENTS:
* 2-3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar analytical role
* Strong SQL querying and data analysis skills
* Experience performing data validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks
* Ability to compare large datasets and identify inconsistencies between source and target systems
* Experience working with relational databases and data warehouse environments
* Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and documentation abilities
* Experience working in Agile environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
