Position Overview:

Under limited supervision manages complex procurement processes, sourcing materials and negotiating contracts to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance. They develop strategic purchasing plans, mitigate supply risks, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. This role involves heavy cross-functional collaboration and data analysis to meet financial and operational targets, service level requirements, and inventory objectives.

What you'll be doing

  • Vendor and Sourcing management
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers
    • Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery
    • Review and analyze purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders for approval process
    • Ensure timely delivery of items and follow up with vendors on late orders
    • Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors
    • Develop, Implement and Support sourcing and supplier management initiatives.
    • Negotiate pricing, delivery, lead-time, etc., with suppliers and partner
  • Demand Planning and Inventory
    • Utilize Demand Planning tools to monitor inventory levels across businesses to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained
    • Develop wholesale forecasts, working with Brands Sales management to ensure we maintain service levels in our distribution sites
  • Cross-Functional and Financial Coordination
    • Coordinate with Receiving, Accounting and other departments as needed to resolve discrepancies with product receiving/pricing
    • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing and engage with finance for proper accounting forecasts
    • Determine material requirements from Product Development and production launch schedules to coordinate the efficient movement of materials through production launch and purchase requirements activity post launch
    • Identify items for deletion, prices changes, competitive analysis
  • ERP and Data Management
    • Obtaining/maintaining accurate item data in NetSuite ERP system
    • Maintaining vendor database to keep all information current
    • Managing/tracking price changes, discounts, and special promotions. Vendor billbacks for special promotions

  • Take on special assignments as warranted, such as projects to resource commodities
  • Any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Company’s Values.


Is this role for you?

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, often with a proven track record of cost savings. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, internet search tools and navigation, NetSuite experience preferred
  • Excellent math skills, analytical thinking required
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Sense of urgency to resolve supply disruptions, invoice discrepancies, and service-level risks
  • Must be able to interact well with all levels of management and employees, excellent oral and written communication skills are required
