Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and disciplined Cabin Supervisor to oversee and manage onboard housekeeping operations for passenger cabins on luxury ships. The ideal candidate will ensure high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and hygiene are maintained, while leading a team of cabin attendants with professionalism and efficiency. This role plays a vital part in delivering an exceptional guest experience during their voyage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of housekeeping staff assigned to guest cabins.

  • Allocate duties, monitor performance, and ensure timely cleaning and restocking of all cabins.

  • Conduct regular inspections of cabins to ensure company and hygiene standards are met.

  • Train, mentor, and motivate housekeeping crew to maintain operational excellence.

  • Coordinate with other departments such as Front Office and Maintenance for seamless service delivery.

  • Handle guest requests, complaints, or feedback regarding cabin conditions promptly and professionally.

  • Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities.

  • Ensure compliance with onboard health, safety, and sanitation policies at all times.

  • Submit performance reports and cabin condition logs to senior management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or diploma in hospitality management is preferred.

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multitask, delegate tasks efficiently, and work under pressure.

  • Strong understanding of hygiene standards and housekeeping operations.

  • Good physical stamina to move around ship decks and stand for long periods.

Experience

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in housekeeping supervision, preferably in the cruise, hotel, or hospitality industry.

  • Previous shipboard experience is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Working Hours

  • Rotational shifts with a 6 to 8-hour duty schedule, including weekends and holidays.

  • Contract duration typically ranges from 6 to 9 months onboard, followed by leave periods.
