CAD Designer - Electrical Designer/Drafter 100% Remote Job Description 5 to 15 Years experience Required EPC Modular drafting & design, Solid Works (required), Navis works, PDF editor, Autodesk Autocad Computer Skills Mastery knowledge and proficiency in • Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) • PDF Editor (Adobe, Foxit, or other equivalent) • Solid Works (required) • Autodesk AutoCAD • Navisworks Manager / Freedom Job Description The role of Electrical Designer is to support the Engineers and Engineering Manager in providing drawings and equipment BOM as per customer requirements independently. The Electrical Designer will support the service personnel in solving problems by simulating the problems in drawings. The Electrical Designer will be able to work on simple Engineering Work Request and comply with all departmental Work Instructions and Engineering Standards. The Electrical Designer will be responsible for checking and approving drawings / designs; interface communication, and ensuring the accuracy, reliability, efficiency, and safety of the electrical scope of work for Hyperscale Data Center Modules meets customer’s requirements and Industrial Standards they produce. The Electrical Designer is expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and analysis of factual information Roles and Responsibilities The Designer will support the goals and programs established by the management team. These roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to • Provide and check drawings / BOM as per customer requirements. • Prepare bulk MTOs (Material Take Offs) and detailed BOMs (Bill of Materials) with no supervision from Engineer. • Ensure drawings follow the Engineering and QA/QC standards. • Prepare layout drawings to customer to present the proposed equipment and the function of the equipment. • Prepare and complete various electrical deliverable drawings and documents such as cable routing, panel drawings, panel layout, electrical schematics, interconnect diagrams, loop diagrams, single-line electrical wiring schematics, cable schedule, lighting location / layout / plan, instrument location / layout / plan, earthing details, I/O (Input/output) schedule, electrical termination hook-ups, etc. • Help in solving problems by simulating the problems in drawings. • Prepare sequence drawing and procedure for Factory Acceptance Test. • Prepare and compile installation procedure for submission to customer. • Supervise the outsourcing of engineering design work to 3rd party engineering / design firms. • Review, as required, vendor data and drawings to ensure compliance with client specifications or applicable standards. • Produce report data from models and assist in providing necessary design information to Project/Client/Third Party, as required. • Provide “Lessons learned” feedback and utilize findings from the process to update tools and procedures Qualifications And Education Requirements Educational Educational • Designer should be in possession a Technical Certification in the design discipline. Experience • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical scopes of work for Hyperscale Data Center Modules or related environment in similar industry. • Ability to produce drawings / sketches to illustrate design / ideas. • Experience with high-density data centers and hyperscale environments (strongly preferred) • High level understanding of the purpose of electrical system for facilities. • General Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including but not limited to • IEC – International Electrotechnical Commission • IBC – International Building Code • OSHA – Occupational Safety and Health Administration • NEC – National Electric Code • NFPA – National Fire Protection Association • Experience working with computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) software Computer Skills • Mastery knowledge and proficiency in • Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) • PDF Editor (Adobe, Foxit, or other equivalent) • Solid Works • Autodesk AutoCAD • Navisworks Manager / Freedom • Operational knowl Apply To this Job Apply To This Job
