Position Summary:


The Clinical Nurse Consultant serves as the resident clinical expert within the healthcare team, playing a pivotal role at the intersection of clinical knowledge and commercial execution.
This position is responsible for managing the clinical showroom experience, partnering with sales teams in customer-facing meetings to provide evidence-based clinical insights that influence purchasing decisions, and building the clinical and product competency of the broader sales organization through structured training and enablement programs.


The ideal candidate is an experienced nurse who is passionate about healthcare technology, comfortable in a customer-facing commercial environment, and skilled at translating clinical workflows into compelling product narratives.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Showroom Management
  • Oversee day-to-day showroom operations, including scheduling, room setup and preparation, and room turnover to ensure a consistently professional environment
  • Curate and maintain showroom product configurations that authentically reflect real-world acute care workflows and clinical use cases
  • Ensure the showroom serves as a credible, immersive environment that supports both in-person and virtual customer engagements
  • Continuously update the showroom to reflect new product releases, clinical insights, and feedback from customer visits
  • Sales & Customer Meeting Support - Clinical Decision Influence
  • Partner directly with account managers during customer and prospect meetings to provide authoritative clinical context that differentiates Ergotron solutions
  • Lead live product demonstrations - both in-person and virtual - highlighting clinical workflow efficiencies, patient safety benefits, and ergonomic advantages
  • Engage clinical stakeholders (nurses, charge nurses, CNOs, clinical informatics teams) with confidence, building credibility and trust that accelerates deal progression
  • Translate customer clinical challenges into solution recommendations, connecting product capabilities to real-world care delivery outcomes
  • Support strategic channel partner (DMR) engagement by providing clinical expertise alongside channel account managers as needed
  • Collaborate with the sales team on pre-call planning to align clinical talking points and demonstration strategy for each customer opportunity
  • Sales Team Training & Enablement
  • Design and deliver onboarding training for new sales team members on clinical workflows, healthcare terminology, and Ergotron's healthcare product portfolio
  • Develop and maintain ongoing clinical education programs that keep the sales team current on evolving care delivery models, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape
  • Create clinical reference materials, tools, and resources that equip sales reps to hold confident clinical conversations independently
  • Coach sales team members on clinical storytelling, objection handling with clinical stakeholders, and how to navigate hospital procurement processes
  • Assess training effectiveness and continuously refine content to improve clinical confidence and sales outcomes
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Product Management to communicate clinical requirements, product improvement ideas, and real-world feedback gathered from customer engagements
  • Provide market-facing clinical intelligence to support positioning, messaging, and new product development priorities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):
  • Active RN, LPN, or APRN licensure with a minimum of 7+ years of clinical experience in an acute care setting (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • Direct hands-on experience with workstations on wheels (WoW), mobile computing carts, or similar point-of-care healthcare technologies strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of acute care clinical workflows, nursing practice environments, and healthcare facility operations
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clinical concepts clearly and persuasively to both clinical and non-clinical audiences
  • Experience in a sales-adjacent, clinical education, or clinical liaison role is a strong plus
  • Comfort and professionalism presenting on camera and in live customer-facing settings
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver training content to adult learners in a professional setting
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-selling environment and collaborate across functions
  • Technical aptitude in digital work environments; proficiency (or ability to quickly learn) Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Zoom
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Ability to travel (less than 40%)
