Communications Intern

Description

The communications intern will primarily support our communications team in planning, creating, and posting timely, relevant, and engaging social media content that furthers our mission. This intern will actively engage in content brainstorming and planning across all of our social media platforms, including Instagram, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and TikTok.

The communications intern will also provide support in media relations, copywriting, blog articles, and press releases.

Requirements

  • Brainstorming ideas for social media content to increase patient acquisition, brand recognition, community education, event attendance, and more
  • Using Canva and PPMWs photo library to generate engaging static and dynamic social media posts
  • Advising on and creating engaging video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok
  • Covering occasional in-person events to gather content for social media, blog articles, and/or press releases
  • Interfacing with other members of the team to generate content highlighting the breadth of our work at PPMW
Qualifications:
  • Active enrollment in undergraduate education
  • Focus in of or more of the following fields of study (preferred): English, Communications, Journalism/Media Relations, Sociology or Marketing
Compensation details: 17.95-20.95 Hourly Wage
