<strong>Compensation Amount<br><br></strong>24.00 USD HourlyThe Content Creator & Marketing Specialist is responsible for capturing and producing high-quality visual content that brings the guest experience to life, strengthens brand storytelling, and drives visitation, reservations, dining, and retail engagement. This role blends hands-on content creation with marketing execution across social media, digital platforms, and promotions campaigns. The position is reported to the Park General Manager.<br><br><strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<br><br></strong><ul><li>Capture compelling photos and video content that highlights the full destination experience, including lodging, food & beverage, retail, recreation, landscapes, and guest activities. </li><li>Produce engaging short-form video content (Instagram Reels, Tik Tok, You Tube shorts) optimized for social performance. </li><li>Develop branded story telling series that showcase seasonal offerings, associate expertise, and guest adventures across all lines of business. </li><li>Edit and deliver polished content using industry standard tools. </li><li>Collaborate with the corporate marketing team to maintain consistent brand standards, following General Manager direction adhering to all National Park Service compliance protocols. </li><li>Manage day-to-day content scheduling and publishing across key platforms - Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, You Tube, LinkedIn. </li><li>Monitor audience engagement and respond to guest interactions in alignment with brand voice and service expectations. </li><li>Support paid organic marketing efforts that drive bookings, visitation, participation, and retail conversion. </li><li>Partner with Operations teams to promote upcoming events, seasonal packages, interpretive programming, and guest experiences. </li><li>Assist in shaping marketing direction by providing creative input, field-based insights, and performance feedback. </li><li>Build marketing content assets for websites, email campaigns, signage, promotions, and on-site guest communications. </li><li>Ensure all content aligns with both Mt. Rainier Guest Services branch branding, park partner standards and corporate image. </li><li>Capture vendor, community, and partner stories that enhance authenticity and local connection. </li><li>Support guest-facing activations including influencer visits, pop-up experiences, media opportunities, and promotional events. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Skill And Knowledge Requirements Include<br><br></strong><ul><li>High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent required; secondary education in a related field is preferred. </li><li>Strong knowledge of content creation tools like Cana and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere). </li><li>Deep knowledge of how different platforms operate and understanding of interpreting analytics. </li><li>Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. </li><li>Able to accurately handle confidential and sensitive information. </li><li>Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, common sense, and have a very strong attention to detail. Strong organization and time management skills are a must. </li><li>Strong level of knowledge and comfort with Windows operating system and MS Office software required. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical And Mental Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Availability for seasonal position (April 2026 - October 2026) </li><li>Lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs. occasionally. </li><li>Able to sit for long periods up to two hour stretches. Perform repetitive motions like bending, grasping, and typing </li><li>Able to spend long periods on the telephone and working on computer. </li><li>Strong physical ability to hike and move through the park to enable capturing features of the area. </li><li>Read and write work-related documents in English. </li><li>Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of visitors, co-workers and guests, and the ability to speak clearly in order to be understood by same in English. </li><li>Constantly communicate and receive written and verbal communication with other employees in fast-paced environment. <br><br></li></ul><strong>EQUIPMENT USED<br><br></strong><ul><li>Typical office equipment (computers, multi-extension phone system, fax, copiers, scanners, among others), as well as audio visual equipment and lighting necessary for content creation. <br><br></li></ul>Ascending to 14,410 feet above sea level, Mount Rainier is an iconic point in the Washington landscape.
