Content Specialist (Lifecycle) - Contract

As the dedicated Community Content Specialist on Community Lifecycle, you will be responsible for the support in the content development and execution of the Community Lifecycle Content Strategy, focusing on developing educational materials and interventions along a moderator's journey going from ‘novice’ to ‘expert’. This role will involve crafting dynamic, action-oriented content and copy across both on and off-platform surfaces, enriching the moderator experience with added value and information. Working alongside the Lifecycle Team, you will ultimately be responsible for delivering high-impact content that resonates with Reddit moderators.

This is a 6 month contract role.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Email: Develop and execute email content and pathways that engage Reddit community moderators at every stage in their journey from the novice to the expert
  • Full Cycle Content Production & Monitoring:
    • Research, concept, write, edit and publish content that meets the needs of the Reddit moderator audience
    • Create, update, and maintain site pages in HubSpot and monitor (quality control) content on live site, troubleshooting or escalating as needed
  • Optimization: Optimize corpus of blog content, incorporating targeted keywords to improve user engagement, search engine ranking and content authority
  • Design: Coordinate the creation/design of assets for campaigns and articles as needed (banners, featured images, etc.) using Canva
  • Event Programming: Support virtual event programming content ideation and curation.
  • Editorial: Work with editorial team members to brainstorm and develop content marketing strategies and tactics in support of goals
  • Experiments: Ideate, concept and test experiments with clear articulation of Community impact
  • Data: Take an insightful and data-driven approach to content ideation and development leveraging Reddit moderator insights and data, to develop content that meets audience needs
  • Reporting: Support with monthly and quarterly website reporting, leveraging data to form actionable insights
  • Admin: Support in building redditforcommunity.com pages to meet moderator needs

Ideal Profile

  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen sense for what drives audience engagement and clicks
  • Proven ability to take in insights, concept content, and drive execution
  • Experience with content management publishing systems - specifically Hubspot CMS and Email
  • Deeply understands and identifies with Reddit and Redditors, eager to uncover insights and remarkable stories that illuminate what makes Reddit both unique and exceptional
  • Online content sensibility - in tune with what drives ‘clicks’
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a critical editorial eye
  • 2+ years of relevant experience, including internships
  • Keen sense of social media culture and content creation
