Conversion Copywriter – Contract

Conversion Copywriter (Contractor, Remote) GoodParty.org is looking for a conversion copywriter with 7+ years of marketing experience and a passion for writing concise content that delivers results. This is a part-time (~20 hours/week) contract position through October 2025, with potential to both increase in hours and extend in length. About GoodParty.org: GoodParty.org is on a mission to make people matter more than money in our democracy by empowering independent candidates to run, win, and serve in elected office. Our AI-powered platform provides free tools to thousands of civic heroes — who are challenging the status quo as independent candidates — to run their campaigns, connect with voters, and serve their communities effectively. A majority of eligible voters, including more than half of Millennials and Gen Z, say that neither Republicans nor Democrats represent them. GoodParty.org is the solution. In 2024 we empowered 3,444 independent candidate wins across 48 states from all across the ideological spectrum. The only things our elected officials have in common is that they prioritize people over parties and community over corporate interests. In 2024, 40.3 million voters (26% of all voters) cast a ballot for our candidates. We’re not a political party, we’re a platform and a movement to democratize democracy. Founded by serial entrepreneur Farhad Mohit ($1B+ in exits, including Flipagram/TikTok and Shopzilla), GoodParty.org is building solutions so we can have a truly representative democracy where society’s biggest problems are solved. What you’ll do: • Research and craft compelling, conversion-focused copy in partnership with our growth marketers, designers, and product leads, ensuring clarity, persuasion, and measurable results. • Write and optimize landing pages, email campaigns, and digital ads designed to drive signups, feature adoption, and other key conversion goals. • Contribute to our internal learning machine by testing messaging variations, generating strong headline and copy options, and providing data-backed recommendations. • Produce messaging briefs for new feature releases and collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with product goals. • Analyze performance metrics to inform iterative improvements and future campaigns. Who we’re looking for: • You’re up for the audacious challenge of transforming our democracy for Good. • You have 7+ years’ experience in conversion copywriting for product-focused campaigns, with a proven track record in landing pages, email marketing, and ad copy. • You have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with meticulous attention to detail. • You’re numbers-driven and rely on performance metrics to demonstrate impact. • You have expertise in paid media channels, including but not limited to Google and Meta, and understand how audiences differ across platforms. • You have a workflow that upholds quality standards and ensures copy adheres to brand guidelines. • You leverage AI tools in your writing process and are constantly testing how AI gives you the most leverage as a writer. • You utilize user research and analyze audiences to deepen targeting and messaging effectiveness. • You’re able to create consistent, high-quality content for diverse audiences (across political ideologies, identities, and locations). • You thrive at startup speed, moving quickly to seize opportunities and drive results. Bonus if: • You’ve contracted or worked for a startup or other fast-paced, dynamic environment. • You have experience in politics, political activism, or democracy reform. • You’re tired of sitting on the sidelines while democracy fails to meet its potential — and you’re ready to act. Why you should work with GoodParty.org: • Join us in solving the biggest problem of our time – fixing our democracy – so all other problems can be solved. • We’re a Public Benefit Corporation that prioritizes social impact over profit. • Work where and how you like, on a fully remote team spread across the country. • Join a passionate team with diverse political views focused on one mission. • Fully funded for our mission. No stressing over whether the next round of funding will come through. Focus on making an impact. That’s what matters here. The range is $40 to $60 per hour (based on experience and past results) for this remote, contract position through October. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. We reserve the right to modify this pay range at any time. We are not considering candidates currently based outside of the US, so please only apply if you are physically located in the US. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide sponsorship for any of our roles at this time. Apply or spread the word: We hope you’ll apply!
