determining best practices for compliance with intellectual property rights of third-parties, AI laws and privacy and security laws; researching and drafting internal processes and policies; and providing internal training and oversight in partnership with other departments.</p><p></p><p>The Corporate Counsel, Innovation will also be responsible for intellectual property, AI law, and privacy and security counsel and support in collaboration with other Legal department teams; drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of contracts, including inbound and outbound licensing agreements, strategic partnerships, data protection agreements, and other agreements; other general corporate law functions and advice based on the company’s needs.</p><p></p><p>The position will work with the Director and Managing Counsel, Intellectual Property and Director and Managing Counsel, Privacy and Security.</p><p></p><p><b>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Work closely with our Innovation Solutions, AI Governance Committee, Product Lines and other engineering and product-related departments during concept, development and execution of new products and processes.</li><li>Determine best practices for the company’s usage of AI technologies.</li><li>Counsel on compliance with intellectual property rights of third parties, AI laws, privacy and security laws and provide internal training and oversight in partnership with other departments.</li><li>Research and draft internal processes and policies relating to intellectual property, AI laws, and privacy and security in partnership with other departments.</li><li>Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including license agreements, strategic partnerships, data protection agreements, and counsel on customer agreements and licensing in collaboration with Regional Legal department teams.</li><li>Conduct legal/technical review of marketing and technical documentation.</li><li>Interact with other Legal department members, company employees, outside counsel and opposing counsel.</li><li>Perform other general law functions and provide other general law advice as needed.</li><li>Provide other support to the Legal department as needed.</li><li>Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education</b></p><ul><li>J.D. from an accredited law school and current licensure to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.</li><li><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">Technological/engineering/computer</span> science undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Experience </b></p><ul><li>Transactional or litigation legal practice, preferably in one or more of the following areas: intellectual property – <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word;
