<p><b><i>Overview of the Role</i></b></p> <p>In this essential role, you will be a key player in the Finance team at Cardinal Health, contributing to the oversight and management of our financial health. Your expertise will support the management of trade and note receivables while ensuring the organization's assets are safeguarded.</p> <p><b><i>Your Key Responsibilities</i></b></p> <ul> <li>Conduct comprehensive credit risk analysis for both new and existing complex customers, understanding entity structures, ownership, and identifying potential risks.</li> <li>Monitor and analyze credit risk across a diverse range of customer classes, including retail pharmacies, health centers, and hospitals.</li> <li>Decide on trade credit for customers based on your assessments for both secured and unsecured credit.</li> <li>Work closely with Collections teams to mitigate risks and maintain an overview of trade exposure.</li> <li>Communicate and collaborate with our Sales organization to foster strong relationships with finance contacts at customer organizations.</li> <li>Engage with internal and external counsel to understand contracts and mitigate credit risks effectively.</li> <li>Gather and evaluate information from various sources to make informed credit decisions, documenting your findings appropriately.</li> <li>Efficiently manage your workload and proactively engage with customers to ensure commitments are fulfilled.</li> <li>Apply your knowledge of financial concepts to establish adequate bad debt reserves.</li> <li>Maintain positive relationships with customers while diplomatically resolving conflicts.</li> <li>Exhibit strong business acumen in credit underwriting practices.</li> </ul> <p><b><i>Qualifications</i></b></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.</li> <li>3-8 years of experience in a credit-related field preferred.</li> <li>Proficiency in MS Excel.</li> <li>Experience in commercial or trade credit underwriting.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to perform credit risk and financial statement analysis.</li> <li>Knowledge of credit and collection practices, including risk mitigation.</li> <li>Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external parties.</li> <li>Ability to navigate various financial systems effectively.</li> </ul> <p><b><i>Location Information</i></b></p> <ul> <li>If local to Dublin, OH, you will be required to come into the Dublin, OH office 1-2 days per week with remote work available for the rest of the week.
