Data Analyst Manager in Canada & Australia

Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking an experienced and strategic Data Analyst Manager to lead high-impact analytics initiatives across our operations in Canada and Australia. This leadership role is responsible for managing data analytics teams, driving data-informed decision-making, and delivering actionable insights that support business growth, operational efficiency, and client success. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with proven people management and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts across multiple regions.

  • Define analytics strategy, roadmaps, and best practices aligned with business objectives.

  • Oversee end-to-end data analytics projects, from requirements gathering to insight delivery.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and compliance with regional regulations.

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and data storytelling materials for executive audiences.

  • Drive adoption of advanced analytics, automation, and visualization tools.

  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and data literacy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in data analytics, business intelligence, and statistical analysis.

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with Python and/or R.

  • Expertise in BI and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).

  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.

  • Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).

Experience

  • 7–10+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence roles.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing or leading analytics teams.

  • Proven experience working with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Experience in consulting, professional services, or multi-industry environments is highly desirable.

  • Exposure to international or multi-regional projects (Canada and/or Australia) is a strong advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position (40 hours per week).

  • Standard business hours aligned with regional teams in Canada and Australia.
