Charles Street Dental is now hiring a Part Time Dental Assistant in Baltimore, Maryland!

Charles Street Dental is a friendly, close-knit dental practice seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part Time Dental Assistant to join our team!

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing and sterilizing instruments, taking X-rays, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. You’ll also help with patient education, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed about their treatments. 2 Day Part Time Dental Assistant Schedule:

Monday 8:00am - 3:30pm and Wednesday 7:30am - 4:30pm with 60 min lunch breaks

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during various dental procedures (required experience with Scanning and fabricate temporaries)
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
  • Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
  • Set up and break down treatment rooms before and after procedures
  • Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene and post-procedure care
  • Prepare and manage patient charts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Assist with taking dental impressions and preparing materials for dental appliances
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
  • Welcome patients and ensure patient comfort and help ease anxiety during treatments
  • Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards in the practice
  • Other tasks as instructed

Qualifications

  • Active Maryland dental assistant EFDA license
  • Maryland Radiology license required
  • Dental Assistant training/school certification
  • 2 or more years of dental assisting clinical experience preferred
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Experience with digital software, SoftDent preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
