Flipkart Account Manager – Seller Support & E-Commerce Marketplace Handling

Job Summary

Flipkart is seeking a dynamic and customer-centric Account Manager to support and manage our growing base of sellers on our e-commerce marketplace. As a key point of contact for sellers, the Account Manager will be responsible for onboarding, relationship management, sales performance tracking, and problem-solving to ensure smooth business operations and seller satisfaction. This role is ideal for professionals who have a passion for e-commerce, analytics, and helping businesses grow in a highly competitive marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned sellers on Flipkarts marketplace.

  • Guide sellers through the onboarding process and ensure timely product catalog creation.

  • Monitor seller performance metrics including order fulfilment, returns, ratings, and revenue.

  • Analyze data and trends to identify sales opportunities and risks, and suggest actionable strategies.

  • Address operational issues including inventory problems, shipping delays, and payment queries.

  • Drive improvements in seller experience by advocating for process and product enhancements.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., logistics, product, finance, customer support) to resolve escalations.

  • Support sellers in promotional campaigns and events like Big Billion Days and Republic Day Sale.

  • Deliver regular performance reviews and provide feedback to help sellers scale efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with sellers and internal teams.

  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and basic data interpretation.

  • Problem-solving ability with a proactive and service-oriented approach.

  • Good understanding of the e-commerce landscape, marketplace dynamics, and digital sales channels.

  • Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Account Management, E-commerce Operations, Vendor/Seller Management, or a similar client-facing role.

  • Previous experience in an online marketplace or B2B/B2C e-commerce platform is preferred.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position: Monday to Friday

  • Working hours: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM (IST)

  • Flexibility required during major sales events and high-demand periods

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Deep knowledge of online marketplaces and seller operations.

  • Familiarity with marketplace tools such as Seller Panels, CRM, and data dashboards.

  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

  • A high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.

  • Fluency in English and proficiency in at least one regional language is an advantage.
