Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is expanding its on-demand Career Services team and is looking for meticulous, impact-driven Freelance Resume Writers. The role is ideal for female graduates and students who want flexible, remote work while sharpening their HR, writing, and personal branding skills. You will craft ATS-friendly resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and cover letters that help freshers and experienced professionals land interviews across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and optimize resumes/CVs, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles aligned to job descriptions and ATS standards.

  • Interview clients (via chat/voice/video) to extract achievements, quantify impact, and clarify career goals.

  • Translate technical or academic experience into concise, market-ready accomplishments using action verbs and measurable outcomes.

  • Customize resumes for multiple roles (e.g., Data Analyst vs. Business Analyst) and seniority levels.

  • Conduct keyword and ATS checks to ensure high compatibility with applicant tracking systems.

  • Maintain style guides & templates, ensuring consistency in tone, formatting, and structure.

  • Provide constructive feedback to clients on career positioning, achievements, and portfolio presentation.

  • Deliver within agreed SLAs and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

  • Stay updated on hiring trends, job market shifts, and resume best practices across functions and geographies.

  • Maintain accurate records of assignments, revisions, and client approvals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent written English with strong grammar, structure, and clarity.

  • Understanding of ATS optimization, keywords, and modern resume formats.

  • Ability to research roles & industries quickly and tailor content accordingly.

  • Strong interviewing & information-gathering skills to elicit quantifiable achievements.

  • Proficiency with MS Word/Google Docs; familiarity with Grammarly/Canva is a plus.

  • Detail orientation with an eye for formatting, consistency, and impact statements.

  • Time management & self-organization to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in resume writing, HR, recruiting, content writing, or career counseling preferred.

  • Freshers and students are welcome—training, templates, and guidance will be provided.

  • Prior exposure to HR, recruitment, L&D, or talent acquisition is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Fully flexible, remote, and output-based.

  • Minimum commitment: 10–15 hours per week (or ~5–10 resumes/week depending on complexity).

  • Weekend and evening work is acceptable as long as deadlines are met.
