[Hiring] VP, Product @Remote Woman

Role Description

Reporting to the CPTO, you will lead the next chapter of Product at Upsun. The company has deep engineering strength, a mature cloud platform, and a portfolio with significant growth potential. This role exists to architect our mid-to-long-term product strategy, unlock enterprise value, and ensure our multi-product portfolio directly drives global market leadership.

  • Architect the portfolio strategy:
    • Shape and drive commercial lifecycles across Upsun Cloud (established/evolving), Upsun Blackfire (portfolio integration), and Upsun Dispatch (strategic new bet) to capture shifting market demands.
  • Bridge Product & Engineering:
    • Partner with the CPTO as a strategic peer to balance forward-looking technical direction with high-leverage commercial focus; evolve organizational design, ownership models, and cultural ways of working without adding unnecessary friction.
  • Translate Strategy into Enterprise Value:
    • Turn deep market insights and technical tailwinds into focused product priorities, roadmaps, and compounding business metrics (adoption, retention, and ARR growth) across thousands of active deployments.
  • Drive Unified Organizational Alignment:
    • Connect product strategy directly to revenue leadership (Sales, CS, Marketing) and embed continuous customer discovery into the engineering cycle to build a hyper-responsive feedback loop.
  • Measure Success by Year One:
    • Success looks like a highly focused, scalable GTM path for Dispatch, market-driven evolution for Upsun Cloud, faster cross-functional decision-making, and a robust, world-class product culture with your newly hired, autonomous leadership bench fully onboarded.

Qualifications

  • Substantial executive leadership experience managing a complex, multi-product portfolio (at varying maturity stages) across cloud, PaaS, DevOps, developer tooling, or infrastructure platforms, with a proven history of scaling through a layer of people managers (Directors/Principals).
  • A proven track record of taking net-new products from early strategy to global scale, while simultaneously modernizing mature products in shifting technical ecosystems.
  • The ability to turn complex technical capabilities into clear, differentiated customer value, navigate enterprise needs, and make high-stakes trade-offs using data and strong intuition.
  • Experience connecting Product with revenue leadership, architecting modern organizational structures, scaling global remote-first teams thoughtfully, and cultivating a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Deep understanding of developer workflows and a practical, highly curious approach to how AI-native development is rewriting product discovery, delivery, and user expectations.
