IT Project Manager

The IT Project Manager is the point of entry into Magellan’s IT Project Management family. This role is responsible for managing projects within Information Technology or Cybersecurity which could include hardware/software implementation/upgrades, and/or process maturity projects. This role is responsible for the development, curation, and maintenance of all project-related artifacts (project roadmap, budget, work breakdown structures (WBS), etc.), project and assignment schedules, and for providing on-demand status updates and problem resolution.- Performs basic planning, facilitates prioritization activities, and oversees delivery of features and/or enhancements that meet client expectations (scope, schedule, costs, risks). Manage schedules and assignments of project members within a matrix structure ensuring that all project activities are coordinated and supportive of the project scope, time and budget. - Develops communication management plans, performs stakeholder analysis, identifies risks, and takes necessary actions, including escalation. - Communicates with respective leaders, functional area managers and/or business leaders regarding status of specific projects. - Brings high visibility and transparency into the team’s progress. - Empowers the team to be self-organizing. - Demonstrates servant leader qualities for leading the team. - Measures and reports progress regularly. - Demonstrates knowledge in project management principles and team leadership. - Assists in developing and maintaining project charter, detailing project plans, weekly status updates and providing problem resolution. - Manages schedules and assignments of project members within a matrix structure.
