We are seeking a Janitor/Custodian to help us keep local government locations clean and safe for the community. As a member of our team, you can choose to work within a team setting, or individually. The position includes paid training and all necessary tools for you to perform necessary day-to-day general cleaning duties. This position gives you flexible hours and a great way to earn some extra money. With day and evening shifts available, we have something that fits your schedule. Pay & Perks: This position has pay of $17 per hour at 10 hours per week, based on experience and work quality. We also offer a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with employer match. (similar to a 401K). Duties & Responsibilities: Perform general cleaning duties such as cleaning restrooms, vacuuming carpets, emptying trash, mopping floors, dusting, etc... Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition Perform routine maintenance tasks Organize custodial closets and spaces Maintain working condition of cleaning equipment Requirements: Must be able to pass a background check Must have reliable transportation Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related fields Ability to handle physical workload Strong attention to detail Strong organizational skills Closing: Once you apply, we perform a prescreening interview, an in-person interview, and if selected a background check as well.
