Job Overview

Spectrum Software Technology (SST), supporting the FAA Airport Technology Research (ATR) Program, is seeking a Junior Data Visualization Developer to assist in building a web-based dashboard used to track and visualize research program performance.

This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility while working on meaningful, real-world applications. The role focuses on frontend development and data visualization, helping transform complex data into clear, interactive dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance interactive dashboards and data visualizations
  • Build responsive user interfaces using JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)
  • Work with APIs to retrieve and display data
  • Assist with data processing and basic business logic implementation
  • Support integration with Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Teams)
  • Troubleshoot issues and contribute to ongoing improvements
  • Collaborate with team members to refine features and functionality

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 1+ year of experience (or relevant internships/projects)
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Familiarity with a frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue)
  • Exposure to data visualization tools/libraries (Chart.js, D3.js, Power BI, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of APIs and how data is retrieved and displayed
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with dashboards, analytics, or reporting tools
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or relational databases
  • Familiarity with Git/version control
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform)
  • Interest in data analysis or UI/UX design
