Land Survey CAD Drafter - CAD Prep & Crew Office Support Position

• MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN LAND SURVEYING CAD WORK * Land surveying company in Chicago area is hiring for a full-time remote position to handle following tasks as needed 1. Prep the file for drafting Be able to perform boundary calcs for drafters using point data, legal descriptions, tax maps, etc. & setting viewports in Civil3D so primary drafter knows what needs to be drafted. Again you would not be doing the full drafts; you are just prepping it for the draftsperson. High volume, fast-paced 2. Quality control check of survey Once the draftsperson completes the draft, you will need to check to ensure all is depicted properly after the drafter completes the survey, and advise what needs to be changed, or if in a time crunch, make adjustments as needed. 3. Calculate points on-the-fly for crews to stake property corners while on site Provide on-the-fly calculations for field crews to stake property corners accurately on site. Needs to be done quickly and accurately (fast-paced). 4. Backup drafting Be able to provide full drafting as backup if needed for boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, and topography surveys This is a remote position.
