If you’re hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds to make a real difference, there’s only one choice.<br><br></strong><strong>Lead Medical Science Liaison, Molecular Imaging (Mid-Atlantic)<br><br></strong>The Lead Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for providing scientific and objective medical information to healthcare providers and researchers in therapeutic areas of interest to Molecular Imaging within Bayer Radiology. The MSL is responsible for developing and executing clinical/medical education strategies and providing training via in person, virtual and hybrid environments, serves as medical and scientific support in the field for healthcare providers ensuring safe and effective use of Bayer products including timely adverse event reporting and responses to unsolicited requests for detailed product, and disease state information. In addition, the MSL also develops a complete understanding of national and regional experts/thought leaders in specific therapeutic categories and the healthcare environment in which they work, assists customers with the best practices and a deep understanding of the Molecular Imaging workflow. The MSL will also collaborate with internal business partners as an expert consultant to meet specific scientific needs of internal and external contacts within specific therapeutic and geographic areas and will represent the company at scientific conferences, symposiums, and medical meetings.<br><br><strong>Your Tasks And Responsibilities<br><br></strong>The primary responsibilities of this role, Lead Medical Science Liaison, Molecular Imaging (Mid-Atlantic), are to:<br><br><strong> Maintenance of Scientific Expertise <br><br></strong><ul><li> Complete core training curriculum and basic MSL Certification; </li><li> Full participation in therapeutic area updates and/or training initiatives e.g., journal clubs; </li><li> Medical conference attendance and reviews; </li><li> Routine self-paced reading of current publications; </li><li> Professional licensure with CEU documentation where applicable; </li><li> Completes recertification and advanced certification were applicable. <br><br></li></ul><strong> Direct scientific exchange <br><br></strong><ul><li> Presentations to external audiences; </li><li> Timely, accurate, specific and balanced responses to professional requests for information (PIR) in collaboration with Medical Communications; </li><li> Adherence to SOP and FDA guidance for distribution of scientific information; </li><li> Adherence to SOP and compliance guidelines for all external contacts; </li><li> Prepares and presents data to internal audiences including MA and Commercial partners; </li><li> Provides inputs for developing materials for internal and external use. <br><br></li></ul><strong> Thought Leader Engagement <br><br></strong><ul><li> Criteria based selection and validation to identify and confirm Thought Leaders (TL) status; </li><li> Routine contacts with TLs; </li><li> Research site identification and investigator-initiated research (IIR) support; </li><li> Speaker training and evaluation; </li><li> Advisory board coordination, workshop leadership and/or presentation at advisory board; </li><li> Coordinates National/International TLs engagement with senior management and other key internal partners. <br><br></li></ul><strong> In Addition <br><br></strong><ul><li> Identify customer Medical/Clinical needs & challenges within the suite. Clinically and medically differentiate the features and value of Bayer products/ solutions and services across the Molecular Imaging product portfolio; </li><li> Assist customer on basic protocol adaptation and answer to any focused/ alternative protocols inquiries for the best outcome for patients. </li><li> Ensure a good alignment and collaboration between internal Bayer stakeholders including R&D, clinical and commercial teams; </li><li> Drive high customer satisfaction and experience; </li><li> Regularly report relevant competitive activity; </li><li> Assist in planning and execution of medical field force initiatives, including training, and communications; </li><li> Identify account / hospital influence level for input into commercial segmentation. </li><li> Drive scientific discussions on patient needs and data gaps, e.g., IIRs. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Who You Are<br><br></strong>Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:<br><br><strong> Required Qualifications: <br><br></strong><ul><li> At minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree is required; </li><li> At least 2 years’ industry experience is required; </li><li> Strong presentation, verbal, and communication skills; </li><li> Excellent oral and written communication skills; </li><li> Excellent interpersonal skills; </li><li> Working knowledge of FDA, OIG requirements; </li><li> Valid Driver’s License and eligibility to drive a company car or pooled vehicle (driving record must meet guidelines base on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers and MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening). <br><br></li></ul><strong> Preferred Qualifications: <br><br></strong><ul><li> Advanced degree (M.D., Ph.D., D. Pharm) in Pharmacology, Medicine, Physics, Chemistry or a related field preferred; </li><li> Background in cardiology or molecular imaging is preferred; </li><li> At least 3 years of work experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is preferred. <br><br></li></ul>Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $ 168,500 to $252,800. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
