Performance of lower-level duties may be required. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Essential Job Functions<br><br></strong>Assist the L&OD Team in the effort to train and provide development opportunities to employees<br><br>Coordinates the administration of training records and training materials.<br><br>Coordinates with instructors to schedule delivery of training programs and provides them feedback in response to specific employee, departmental, and City-wide requests and needs.<br><br>Administration, review, and approval of tuition reimbursement applications, in accordance with program guidelines.<br><br>eLearning Development: Assists in the design and development of interactive online modules using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Canva) under the guidance of senior staff.<br><br>LMS Administration: Supports LMS administration, including uploading courses, troubleshooting user issues, and generating compliance and completion reports.<br><br>Training Coordination: Coordinates the logistics for instructor-led training (ILT) and virtual instructor-led training (VILT), including scheduling, registrations, and technology setup.<br><br>Content Curation: Updates and maintains a library of training materials, ensuring that digital assets, manuals, and job aids remain current and accessible.<br><br>Project Support: Contributes to large-scale training projects by conducting needs assessments, gathering research, and collecting post-training evaluation data to measure effectiveness.<br><br>Multimedia Support: Assists in the production of basic multimedia assets, such as recording voiceovers, editing simple training videos, or creating graphic organizers.<br><br><strong>Non-essential Job Functions<br><br></strong>Stays current on emerging trends in Educational Technology (EdTech).<br><br><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong>Performs other duties as required.<br><br><em>To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential job function. Below are the required education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions. <br><br></em><strong>Education And Experience<br><br></strong>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Instructional Design, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis).<br><br>Experience: Two (2) years of experience in corporate training, HR, or educational support, with at least one (1) year of exposure to digital content creation or LMS management.<br><br><strong>CERTIFICATIONS OR LICENSES<br><br></strong><strong>Licenses<br><br></strong>Valid Florida Driver's License required within 30 days of appointment.<br><br><strong>Certifications<br><br></strong>None<br><br><strong>Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities<br><br></strong>Basic understanding of adult learning theories (e.g., ADDIE or Gagne’s Nine Events).<br><br>Skill in using eLearning authoring software and graphic design tools.<br><br>High level of comfort with video conferencing platforms (Zoom/Teams) and cloud-based collaboration tools.<br><br>Ability to analyze training metrics and survey results to provide actionable insights.<br><br>Strong written communication skills with a focus on "writing for the learner" (clear, concise, and engaging).<br><br>Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities in a fast- paced environment.<br><br><strong>Physical And Environmental Requirements<br><br></strong><em>To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess certain physical abilities and be able to withstand work-related environmental conditions. <br><br></em><strong>Physical Requirements<br><br></strong>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit for prolonged periods of time.<br><br><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT <br><br></strong>May be required to work and attend meetings outside regular business hours.<br><br>Requires local travel to other general government locations within the Gainesville area.<br><br><strong>Note: <br><br></strong>May Require Assessment(s).<br><br>May fill multiple positions.<br><br>May establish an eligibility list.<br><br><strong>Come join our team!
