Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics Manager to optimize our expanding supply chain operations. In this pivotal role, you will be assistant to the Shipping/Receiving Manger and help oversee end-to-end logistics processes, including warehouse distribution, transportation management, procurement, and inventory control. Your expertise will ensure seamless coordination across departments, enhance process efficiencies, and drive cost-effective solutions.

Duties

  • Help manage warehouse operations including materials handling, shipping & receiving, inventory management, and stock control using advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
  • Use transportation management systems (TMS) to coordinate freight movements, optimize routes, and reduce shipping costs while ensuring timely delivery.
  • Help negotiations with vendors, 3PL providers (Third-Party Logistics), carriers, and suppliers to secure favorable contracts and pricing agreements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance overall logistics performance.
  • Help supervise warehouse distribution activities including order fulfillment, dispatching, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations, and compliance with safety standards like forklift operation and materials handling protocols.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in supply chain management with a strong background in warehouse experience and logistics operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Strong analysis skills with the ability to collect data, perform root cause analysis, and develop actionable insights for process improvement.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of managing vendor relationships and sourcing strategies.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes including category management, sourcing, pricing strategies, and contract management.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with demand planning tools like MRP (Material Requirements Planning), production planning systems, and inventory control techniques.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
