Wieland is hiring a Maintenance Technician 3rd shift. The maintenance technician will be responsible for maintaining the production equipment, the building, and support equipment in the manufacturing operation so they are available to achieve the production goals and objectives. Determine causes of breakdown or failure in electrical or mechanical equipment. Repairs, adjusts, modifies, and services all equipment. Works as directed with project Manufacturing Manager. This role is located in Verona, VA and will be fully on-site. Starting Pay: (Based on experience) starting around $28+ per hour Schedule: 3rd Shift (Sunday - Friday 10pm - 6 am) Responsibilities 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: Work safely and promote the safety of those working around you; help build a proactive safety culture Identify and correct potential safety hazards in order to prevent injuries Make the equipment available to the production workforce by determining the cause of equipment breakdown or failure and making necessary repairs Analyze drawings, manuals, wiring diagrams, etc. as required to install, repair, calibrate or otherwise service all types of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic devices and systems Apply preventative methods and routine maintenance to reduce unplanned equipment downtime Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions Provide input into the preventive maintenance programs Support management of spare parts inventories Keep the building and support equipment in working order by performing repairs and modifications Coordinate with outside maintenance and repair contractors when necessary to complete work Develop and support maintenance scheduling and planning including Preventative Maintenance efforts Work as a backup operator when needed Qualifications 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician Qualifications: A demonstrated safety orientation 5 years manufacturing related maintenance experience Experience troubleshooting PLC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic machine systems Electrical knowledge up to 480 volts Self-starter with a proactive mindset able to prioritize work based on the schedules, goals and objectives of the organization.
