Specific tasks, responsibilities or competencies may be documented in the Team Member’s performance objectives as outlined by the Team Member’s immediate Leadership Team Member.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>Location:</b> This is a REMOTE position within the US Only</p><p><b>Required Schedule:</b> Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM</p><p></p><p><b>Management & Oversight</b></p><ul><li>The Manager of the Appeals Shipment Teams will oversee (2) Supervisors, the quality assurance, documentation completeness, regulatory adherence, and operational efficiency across all pre‑ and post- shipment workflows.</li><li>Monitor workload distribution and performance metrics to maintain a balanced, high-performing team environment.</li><li>Develop and refine workflows to enhance turnaround time, quality assurance, and escalation management.</li></ul><p><br><b>Communication & Collaboration</b></p><ul><li>Oversee communications for the Appeals Pre- and Post- Shipment divisions, ensuring timely, consistent, and professional correspondence across internal teams, clients, and payers.</li><li>Serve as the key liaison between Operations, Quality, and Leadership to support clear process alignment and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Facilitate team meetings and cross-departmental updates to ensure transparency and unified departmental direction.</li></ul><p><br><b>Strategic Development</b></p><ul><li>Partner with senior leadership to identify process improvement opportunities and streamline Appeals workflows through data analysis and Lean methodology.</li><li>Partner with analytics teams to track trends in appeal success rates tied to submission quality</li><li>Promote accountability and professional development within the team, emphasizing accuracy, communication excellence, and client satisfaction.</li><li>Drive reduction of manual work, including minimization of mail/fax processes in favor of portal submissions where applicable</li><li>Analyze root causes of resubmissions, rework, and rejected/returned appeals (e.g., missing clinical documentation, incorrect forms, filing limit issues, or submission method errors). Develop and implement corrective action plans to address recurring issues and prevent downstream delays</li><li>Establish feedback loops to continuously improve first-pass submission quality and reduce avoidable resubmissions</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Reporting & Analytics</b></p><ul><li>Track and provide regular reporting and insights to leadership on key performance indicators (KPIs) including:</li><li>Appeal readiness turnaround time</li><li>Quality audit scores</li><li>Submission timeliness</li><li>Volume by payer and submission method</li><li>Utilize tools such as Salesforce, Power BI, or other reporting platforms to drive data-informed decision making</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Experience in multi-payer, multi-state appeals operations</li><li>Familiarity with Payer Portals, workflow tools, and automation initiatives</li><li>Experience implementing SOPs, QA programs, or operational transformations</li><li>Process improvement experience</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</b><br><b>Note:</b> Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions as described.
