<p>Must live and work in the Greater Seattle or Greater Portland area.</p><p>I. <span style="font-family: " times="" new="" roman",="" serif;"="">Job Summary</span></p><p><span style="font-family: " times="" new="" roman",="" serif;"="">This position leads and executes external and internal communications to advance regional and corporate business objectives and brand goals in Washington, Oregon, British Columbia and parts of Alaska, Idaho and Montana. This position protects WM’s public image and supports business growth through positive visibility, strategic positioning, issue management and relationship management. This work involves the development of communications plans, talking points and multi-media materials, and the activation of tactics for communicating with stakeholders including media, elected officials, local government customers, residential customers, commercial customers, regulators, community organizations, employees. </span></p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"> </p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: " times="" new="" roman",="" serif;"="">Under the direction of the Area Senior Manager for Strategic Engagement, this position is accountable strategic positioning and messaging for issues relating to contract retention, customer service, compliance, permitting and service continuity across all lines of business.
