Job Description


Location: Preference for candidates in Seattle or San Francisco

Full-time role reporting to the interim CMO or Director of Operations, depending on candidate and internal structure.

We’re looking for a strategic, detail-oriented Marketing Operations Manager to build the systems, processes, and performance tracking that power our growing U.S. marketing team. In this new role, you’ll be the operational backbone of our marketing function—ensuring our sport, brand, and community marketers can execute efficiently and with impact.

You’ll own campaign planning frameworks, content production workflows, agency management, and marketing performance reporting. Your work will ensure consistency across channels and improve how we measure and maximize return on our marketing investments—especially in paid social and digital.

This role is ideal for someone who gets energy from building order out of creative chaos, loves enabling teams to move faster, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Top Objectives

  • Create internal systems for campaign planning, content development, testing, and optimization across marketing channels.

  • Maximize Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) by helping localize and optimize U.S. paid social and digital messaging within Decathlon’s global brand guidelines.

  • Build reporting tools and scorecards that track marketing performance and identify areas to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Coordinate across brand, sport, and community marketers to ensure clear timelines, aligned deliverables, and consistent execution.

  • Manage the day-to-day operations with agencies and contractors, ensuring high-quality output and tight project tracking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain campaign planning tools, content calendars, and project management workflows.

  • Run cross-functional campaign planning and status meetings, and ensure all deliverables and timelines are met.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners on media buying, content creation, and creative testing.

  • Build dashboards and scorecards in partnership with analytics to track ROAS, campaign performance, and content effectiveness.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, remove bottlenecks, and scale what’s working.

  • Ensure close coordination between U.S. and global marketing teams, enabling effective localization and feedback sharing.


Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of experience in marketing operations, project management, or performance marketing.

  • Strong track record of building systems that enable efficient marketing execution across channels and teams.

  • Experience managing external agencies and vendors, especially in paid media and content.

  • Familiarity with digital performance metrics (ROAS, CTR, CAC, etc.) and marketing dashboards (Looker, GA4, Meta Ads Manager).

  • Organized, proactive, and detail-obsessed—strong at prioritization, follow-through, and cross-functional communication.

  • Comfortable in a startup or entrepreneurial environment where you’ll build as you go. Scrappy, to work with our limited internal marketing resources and excellent agency partners.

  • Passion for sports, outdoor activities, or mission-driven brands is a plus.
