Our Medicare Advantage plans are designed to offer comprehensive coverage and excellent customer service. We are seeking enthusiastic Blue Cross NC Medicare Advantage members to join our team as Member Ambassadors to help us connect with and support our community.

As a Member Ambassador for our Medicare Advantage Health Plan, you will play a crucial role in representing Blue Cross NC at community events and supporting both potential and existing members. Your personal experience with our health plan will be invaluable in building trust and rapport with other Medicare-eligible peers. You will work closely with local insurance agents, aid at sales events, and advocate for members who need help navigating their benefits.

What You'll Do

  • Support Blue Cross NC at Community Events: Assist our cross-department company volunteers and sales reps during various community outreach events, helping to set up, engage with attendees, ensuring a welcoming and informative environment for all attendees.
  • Share Personal Experiences: Use your personal journey and satisfaction with our health plan to authentically connect with potential members and encourage them to consider our plan/plans.
  • Member Support: Help existing members connect with member services for any questions or issues they might encounter, ensuring they receive the support they need.
  • Advocate for Members: Act as a liaison and advocate for members experiencing issues with their health plan, ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
Role expected for up to 12 months, with potential for continuation.

What You Have:
  • Must be a current member of our Blue Medicare Advantage plan.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Reliable transportation to attend various community events and sales meetings.
  • Comfortable with email communication and online module training.
Bonus Points
  • Friendly, approachable, and possess an empathetic demeanor.
  • Passionate about helping others and advocating for their needs.
  • Previous customer service experience in related field. (ie. Hospitality, Banking, Healthcare)
  • Experience working within Tribal communities is a plus but not required.

Where You'll Work

Our Hybrid Flex approach is built on presence with a purpose - giving you flexibility to work remotely with intentional in-person connection - that supports a workplace that's flexible, connected, and future focused.

In a Hybrid-Flex role, you'll work in the office at least two days a week for collaboration and connection. In a Remote Flex role, you'll work virtually, with a few in-office visits each year for meaningful moments that matter.

Whether your role is Hybrid Flex or Remote Flex depends on the nature of the work and distance from our Durham headquarters. We welcome candidates from outside the local area and in any states listed on this job posting. Onsite expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.

*Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.

$41,600.00 - $66,561.00
