What You'll Get To Do:

This position provides strategic leadership in managing global customer relationships and driving new business growth within the AI and Data Infrastructure market, with a focus on major global technology companies. The role requires close partnership with regional and global sales and marketing organizations, strong alignment with Japan‑based product and engineering teams, and active engagement with leadership across global sales companies. Key responsibilities include shaping and executing global growth strategies, expanding sustainable revenue opportunities, and leading new product development initiatives that align with long‑term business objectives and evolving customer requirements.

New Product Creation

  • Identify new business opportunities and present appropriate solutions/technologies
  • Identify and drive new business opportunities by aligning customer needs with Panasonic’s technologies and solutions.
  • Establish and maintain senior‑level relationships with key OEM decision makers to influence technology roadmaps and early design wins.
  • Lead joint R&D initiatives with targeted OEMs in collaboration with Japan‑based product and engineering teams.
  • Leverage deep technical expertise and Panasonic’s product portfolio to clearly position competitive advantages.
  • Capture market and technology trends and provide actionable guidance to relevant product & factory teams.
  • Define and execute go‑to‑market strategies for new products to support successful global commercialization.
  • Experience in hardware engineering, product management or business development roles

Account and Program Management for established OEMs

  • Partner with regional sales teams to drive successful execution of key global programs.
  • Maintain strong OEM engagement through regular technical and business updates to support ongoing opportunities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer roadmaps, technology trends, BOMs, and circuit designs to inform strategy and execution.
  • Drive near‑term revenue growth through effective RFQ management and commercial negotiations.

Marketing

  • Grasp Industry trend and act as technical advisor of the group
  • Gather and communicate market, competitive, and technical/business insights to inform decision‑making.
  • Advise sales, product, management, and R&D teams on market trends and technical considerations to support product and strategy development.
  • Analyze technical trends, market demand, and target customers to identify growth opportunities.

Development of Business plan

  • Lead development of business plans, including sales strategies, business metrics, relationship plans, and key success factors (KSFs).

Administrative

  • Prepare and distribute activity and customer call reports in accordance with reporting requirements.
  • Operate effectively within a complex, matrixed organization by securing alignment and support from key sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with management, peers, cross‑functional teams, and business units to achieve shared objectives.
  • Represent Panasonic with professionalism and integrity in all internal and external interactions, including customer engagements, partner activities, and industry events.
  • Exercise financial responsibility in terms of travel and other expenditures.

Scope:

  • This position will not manage direct reports.

Education & Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electro-mechanical engineering
  • More than 5 years of experience in hardware engineering, product management or business development roles
  • Significant experience winning large-scale global technology projects
  • In-depth knowledge of AI/Data Infrastructure market and supply chain ecosystem
  • Experience working for or selling to major tech firms
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with a strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Valid driver’s license; must have or be able to obtain valid passport with no travel restrictions.
  • Candidate should be located in Austin Tx. area highly preferred

Preferred Requirements

  • More than 10 years of experience in hardware engineering, product management or business development roles
  • Multilingual, Japanese/Mandarin Chinese preferred
  • Experience in working in or with a Japanese company

The wage range of $130,000 - $150,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.


Sales Incentive – As part of the overall compensation package, this role is eligible to participate in a sales incentive compensation program.
