Department Overview NPI Product Engineer

Job Description

  • Responsible for new product introduction / release and PCN changes activities. Interfaces with design, process, test, reliability and EMS manufacturing engineering to solve product issues and production problems to meet launch goals (quality/yields, time & cost). Develops and sustains yield improvements during prototype and post product launch to reduce production costs and increase yields.
  • Drive concurrent engineering activities to ensure new product design requirements align with manufacturing requirements.
  • Continuously work with product development team to improve quality, productivity and cost. Provide technical support for New product releases.
  • Utilize analytical/ problem solving skills, data acquisition skills and use of statistical tools and techniques such as CP & CPK study for new product readiness.
  • Hands on experience in product builds, troubleshooting, maintenance and optimization of NPI production process.
  • Drive to solve difficult problems involving testing, planning and implementation of new parts.
  • Develop and present test plans when problem arise, coordinate testing and data acquisition.
Basic Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a recognized Degree in Engineering, Electrical/ Electronics / Communication Engineering.
  • Candidate must have minimum 2-3 years working experience in this field.
  • Committed & aggressive individuals with strong personal interaction skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong technical knowledge to support production in Manufacturing & Testing of Quality Products.
  • Possess analytical/ problem solving skills, data acquisition skills, and ability to use statistical tools and techniques such as CP & CPK study.
  • Able to coordinate and implement new product releases.
  • Good knowledge in RF and design engineering will be an added advantage.
  • Willing to travel when needed to supplier sites.
  • Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
  • Knowledge in AI and usage in work is an added advantage.
