Okta IAM SME (Hybrid)

Overview

  • Tier One Technologies is looking for an Okta IAM SME to provide guidance to IT partners within Federal Government on configuration, debugging, and deployment of tools requiring Identity and Access Management (IAM) integration.
  • This hybrid contract-to-hire position will be located in Washington, DC.
  • The work can be done remotely but must be able to attend on-site meetings.
  • SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.
Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the IAM environment and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Apply DevSecOps principles to automate tasks across access infrastructure.
  • Assist with developing policies and procedures for supporting applications.
  • Assist with planning and scoping of IT and Security initiatives.
  • Provide detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues.
  • Consult with client to define needs or challenges, while also supervising studies, leading surveys and performing data collection for analyses used to advise and recommend/suggest solutions.
  • Perform Multi Factor Authentication/Single Sign-On integrations for applications and management tasks using Okta.
  • Integrate Active Directory, Azure AD, Radius Server, and other similar IDP/Authenticator integrations with Okta.
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade the various types of Okta Agents, their host servers and service accounts.
  • Perform customer T2/T3 support activities including assessment of user experience scenarios and identifying resolutions to unique user access issues for Okta integrated applications.
  • Provide Periodic and custom ad hoc reporting using Okta.
  • Perform assessment of the Features/Enhancements from the monthly Okta Production Release for impact to current systems and implement mitigation actions as required.
  • Perform assessment of Continuous Monitoring Scan reports and implement remediations of the vulnerabilities identified.
  • Perform manual user, application, and role provisioning tasks within Okta through administrator access.
  • Perform EAMS system validations post infrastructure and OS maintenance activities and or network outages.
  • Generate and maintain the Runbooks and other documentation for Projects and operations.
  • Perform periodic review of the User and Administrator activities from Okta System log reports as part of security monitoring.
  • Perform review and enhancements to the Splunk integration with Okta.
  • Perform review and enhancements of the EAMS registration and access roles within ARIS.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the IT security field.
  • Subject Matter Expert in Okta Identity & Access Management (IAM), including Access Management Integration.
  • Proficiency in Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) environments.
  • Ability to clearly communicate both business and technical terms and information/requirements/instructions to a wide variety of audiences (face-to-face, teleconference, phone, and email).
  • All candidates must be US Citizens or have Permanent Residence status (Green Card).
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
  • Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
  • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last 5 years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
