Position Summary The Partner Technical Advisor - Channel Solutions Engineer, is a technical role that is part of a highly technical sales team, which supports sales and promotes customer happiness. Primarily providing pre-sales technical solutions alignment and enablement to our Channel partners to accelerate product adoption and drive successful Customer outcomes. This includes presentations, product demonstrations, assessment of potential application of F5 solutions, and the development of technical account plans. Primary Responsibilities Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key channel partners. Develop and manage technical enablement plans for aligned channel partners. Articulate the F5 sales strategy, messaging, and positioning F5 value proposition for customer business objectives. Provide solution design ideas aligned with customers' desired business outcomes. Articulate technical and business value of F5 Solutions against competitors. Participate in the development and support of content, e.g. presentations, use cases, etc. for customers and partners. Train channel partner Sales and SEs to identify and qualify opportunities. Coordinate channel partner training activities with F5 Sales teams. Participate and deliver channel partner workshops and other demand generation activities. Support F5 channel partner sales initiatives. Provide channel partners consistent training on F5 solutions and competitive differentiation. Provide channel partners technical expertise and oversight as required. Proactively provide consultative support. Work in collaboration with Channel and Sales management to establish channel partners and to qualify partner’s ability to sell F5 solutions. Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge of F5 product set, the relevant industry, and sales aptitude. Travel up to 50% Channel support activities include: Support F5 channel partner sales initiatives. Provide channel partners consistent training on F5 solutions and competitive differentiation. Provide channel partners technical expertise and oversight as required. Proactively provide consultative support. Work in collaboration with Channel and Sales management to establish channel partners and to qualify partner’s ability to sell F5 solutions. Post sales activities include: Understand F5 critical issue process Align channel partner with the F5 Sales and Technical Support to resolve customer issues Qualifications: Experience working with network, security and/or web technologies. 5+ years related industry experience 3+ years Pre-sales experience preferred Prior experience working with CDW (e.g., as a partner, vendor, or in a customer-facing capacity) Experience working with network, security and/or web technologies. Significant experience and a number of years pre-sales expertise. Ability to develop DevOps/DevSecOps mentorship including training material, standard methodologies, reusable code, etc. Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub/GitLab, Artifactory, SonarQube, Docker, etc. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, VMWare, OpenStack. Experience with container orchestrators such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker Swarm. Knowledge of application development languages like Python, Java, JavaScript. Knowledge of OWASP principles (preferred, but not required). Understanding of application security vulnerabilities, threats and controls, and web application firewall (preferred, but not required). BS/BA or equivalent work experience. In-depth industry knowledge and understanding of F5 technologies, solutions and product offerings strongly preferred.
