Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is hiring Passenger Ship Attendants for luxury cruise liners. This is a unique opportunity for service-oriented individuals who are passionate about hospitality, travel, and international guest engagement. As a Passenger Ship Attendant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining cleanliness and comfort in cabins, and supporting onboard hospitality operations. You will be a vital part of creating memorable cruise journeys for global travelers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a warm, professional, and friendly demeanor upon embarkation and throughout the voyage

  • Assist guests with cabin check-ins, luggage handling, and orientation to onboard facilities

  • Maintain guest cabins in pristine condition, including bed making, restocking amenities, and cleaning

  • Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests and concerns

  • Support room service delivery and collection when required

  • Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisory staff

  • Ensure all guest service standards and hygiene protocols are consistently met

  • Collaborate with housekeeping, hospitality, and front office teams for seamless service delivery

  • Participate in safety drills and emergency response protocols as mandated by maritime law

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Basic proficiency in English; multilingual abilities are a plus

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Pleasant personality with a professional appearance

  • Physical stamina and ability to work long shifts

  • Basic understanding of cleaning products and procedures

  • Willingness to work in a multicultural and diverse team environment

Experience

  • Prior experience in housekeeping, hospitality, hotel, or cruise industry is highly preferred

  • Freshers with a keen interest in customer service and maritime hospitality are welcome to apply

  • Basic training in first aid or customer support is an added advantage

Working Hours

  • Rotational shifts across 7 days a week

  • Average working hours: 9–10 hours/day depending on ship itinerary and guest volume

  • Onboard contracts typically range from 6 to 8 months with scheduled shore leave

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and guestroom management

  • Ability to communicate clearly with guests and colleagues across nationalities

  • Understanding of maritime safety, hygiene, and environmental standards

  • Time management and organizational skills
