You will join a group of highly motivated individuals, to help us grow Phorest faster.</p><h4>The Opportunity</h4><p><span>As the People Partner (Australia), you’re the heartbeat of the office and the secret weapon for our leaders. Reporting into the Global People function as part of our all-star People Partner team, with a dotted-line report into the local Head of Operations, this role is ideal for someone looking to expand their People skillset, potentially stepping up from an Advisor role, and enjoy the flexibility of a part-time role (15.2 hours per week - spread across 3 days).</span></p><p><span>At Phorest, we believe the environment you work in is just as important as the coaching you receive. We’re looking for a People Partner to support the Australian region who is as comfortable negotiating a facilities contract as they are guiding a manager through a tricky performance conversation. This is a front-and-centre opportunity to shape the local Phorest experience.</span></p><h4><span>What You'll Do</span></h4><ul><li><p><span>The Leader’s coach: You’ll step into the world of people advisory. You’ll support our line managers with a wide range of generalist needs including coaching through performance plans, absence issues, salary cycles and more to enable our growing team of approx 25 people in Australia to be successful. Your role is to help them lead their teams effectively.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Career Architect: You’ll help our leaders turn "jobs" into "careers" by supporting the onboarding of new team members, development frameworks and ensuring everyone has opportunities to grow. Also running salary cycles locally and potentially leading learning sessions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Shaping our space: You’ll own the management of the office space. From making sure our WHS is top-tier to liaising with building management, you ensure our office base is a place people actually want to be.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Culture and Connection You’ll be the mentor and guide for our Phun Crew (our wider team who come up with ways to build connection and keep our culture strong) in Australia.. With guidance from our Global People Team, you’ll be helping the Phun Crew dream up and execute events that become part of Phorest legend. You’ll also help connect the Aus team to the global teams and share key messages and updates at All Hands meetings.</span></p></li></ul><h4><span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-b0294660-7fff-eea4-4436-19a95a8dbcce">Who You Are:</strong></span></h4><ul><li><p><span>Experienced & Established: You’ve likely got 4+ years under your belt in the People space. You’ve supported managers in handling employee relations situations like performance plans or absence issues and you are comfortable coaching and supporting leaders across a range of People topics..</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proactive with a can do attitude: You don’t wait for a to-do list. You see a gap that’s important to the business, connect with the right people and then fix it. This is part proactivity, part stakeholder management and alignment and part understanding the bigger picture of what is important to making the company successful.</span></p></li><li><p><span>An Empathetic Professional: You can pivot from a high-energy event brainstorm to a sensitive 1:1 with a manager.</span></p></li><li><p><span>A Values Champion: You don't just know the Phorest values; you embody them. We believe in creating a great experience for our customers and employees, can do attitude and growth mindset.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Organised and a great communicator. The rest of your direct team are based in Europe so it’s important that you’re happy working semi independently and understand the importance of staying connected. You’re also a key point of connection for Australia to the global teams.</span></p></li></ul><h4><span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-b0294660-7fff-eea4-4436-19a95a8dbcce">The Way We Work</strong></span></h4><ul><li><p><span>Hybrid and flexible: We believe in the power of in-person connection for strategic planning and culture building. This is a part-time position, and you will spend 1 day per week in our office, collaborating with the Australian Leadership Team.
